Girsa (“we”, “us”) helps you learn to read classical Jewish texts. This policy explains what we collect and why. We keep it minimal on purpose.
What we collect
- ·Email address — only if you choose to save your progress or create an account. Used to sign you in (via a magic link) and, with your consent, to send occasional product updates.
- ·Learning data — your progress, streak, XP, and review history, so your learning syncs across devices.
- ·On-device data — we store progress and preferences in your browser’s local storage so the app works offline and before you sign in.
- ·Anonymous usage stats — privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics tell us which pages are used (aggregate only, no personal profile, no cross-site tracking).
- ·Payment data — if you subscribe, payments are handled by our third-party payment processor. We never see or store your card details.
What we do NOT do
- ·We do not sell your personal data.
- ·We do not show third-party advertising.
- ·We do not track you across other websites.
Who we share it with
Only the service providers needed to run Girsa: our database/auth host, our email provider, and our payment processor. Each processes your data only to provide their service to us.
Your choices
You can request a copy of your data or its deletion at any time — email us and we’ll action it. You can unsubscribe from product emails via any email’s unsubscribe link.
